Hannah Brencher believes in the power of pen and paper, and has started a global initiative, The World Needs More Love Letters, that encourages strangers to exchange love letters. This is a lovely idea and Hannah is a beautiful writer and storyteller.

In a fast-paced world, it is nice to see old-fashioned ideas coming back and how people are embracing them. There is nothing nicer than receiving something in the mail other than bills and junk.

Also the week Hannah gave her talk was a life-changing one for her as she says “I was offered a freelance position that allowed me to leave my full-time job. So I gave my TED Talk, and then I walked into my office Monday morning and quit. It was a transformational weekend.”

Edwina Guckian, a primary school teacher and Sean nos dancer from Drumsna, Co. Leitrim, decided to record one second every day for a year and captured lots of adventures and memories along the way. It’s a lovely way to remember the year that has past.

This was filmed on Dollymount Strand and they do make it look breathtaking although the models do remind me of a scene from Twilight but the star of the show is most definitely the beach of my childhood – Dollier like you’ve never seen it before!

Russell Brand talks about the power of meditation. I know he’s not everyone’s favourite person and he can be a bit of an eejit but his message is a powerful one. Keep on doing what you’re doing – being happy in your hearts.

40 Love is a short film for the Cornetto Cupidity series. Everybody wants to be loved. Game, set and it’s a match made in heaven when a young girl finds herself as an accidental target for love. Her relationship with a tennis pro doesn’t start off well but Cupid in the form of Lily Allen helps to bring them together.
