They don’t really know what love is

SOAK is Bridie Monds-Watson, a 16 year old singer from Derry. If you’re wondering where did the name come from, SOAK says “I took the first two letters of the word soul and added ‘ak’ instead of ‘lk’ from the word folk and came up with the name SOAK – it was that simple. It’s actually strange thinking about it now because my music is neither folk or soul”. She released her first EP Trains in March 2012. She is radio 1’s up and coming artist of the week next week and she’s due to appear on this year’s Other Voices. Love this song – she sounds way older than her years.
